Slowly Closing My Eyes

We played the serial killer variant of Mafia at the last KMFDM, and it had a wonderfully unexpected result. The joker card was used for the serial killer, and because we couldn't take things too seriously, the doctor became the Batman. Awesome.

I start school in a week and a half. I'm giddy, even though I do have homework for the first class. It's like school, without the brutal debt and uncertain job future. Awesome.

My life has strangely rearraged itself for the better. Not much has changed, little but the right things. I can't complain, it's pretty... awesome.

A Startling Newness

I'm back, and I'm having trouble remembering the normal routine of things. My body keeps rebelling at not staying up late, and the absence of a handheld console feels like a strange phantom limb. Where are the bean bag furnitures? Why haven't I spent at least 12 hours playing games today? I'm tired, I want to nap, why is that weird? The singular magnificience of PAX lingers with me still. It's not that I actually wanted it to last forever, I like the rest of my life, but its patterns, the ebb and flow of its sea are so insidious. I feel like I haven't gotten my land legs back.

Slow and steady, that's how I work best. Like a wasting illness, I wear away at your heart. But this, my dear, was too quick and fast. Sloppy and inelegant, you deserved better. You replied, but you did not hear me, it didn't cut you as it should. Instead the responce was programmed. It kinda broke me, how you didn't listen. But there it was, four into three once more. Gods I wanted to kiss you, if only once.
