The Quick Return
I refur to flickr to jog my memory of the blur that has called itself my life for the last month and a half. Ah yes the cave warming. It was a cool event to say the least full of mellowness and amusement but I also mention it so I can post this picture with context and not leave everyone scratching their heads. You're very pretty Patrick.
As in true leo fashion, each party seems to strive to out-due the previouse party in some memorable fashion. Twas a good party with many happy people and much amusement at the hords of people that us leo-folk attract. The party ended in a split after taking over Travis's house as we left thoes who felt the need to a game of spin-the-bottle and whatnot. It was a good night, though I felt I remembered much too much at the end of it and felt much to healthy the next morning. The actual date of my birthday was awesome. I woke up to at Andrew's Aunt/Uncle's house (in North Van) and took their dog Figiro for a walk in their forest of a backyard. It was wonderful if not frighteningly adult. We went out for lunch, saw a movie (Willy Wanka Rocks my Socks) and had dinner with my family (way out in Langly) where Andrew met my family in true form for the first time, and managed to make it back to Slurrey to go bowling with about 20 people who completed an awesome day by coming on 1.5 day's notice! I've never had a better age turning.
Within this expanse of time our family (aka my father) sold the old boat, that I knew and loved for many a year, to get a new boat that was much more practial for the usage it was about to recieve. It's a 16ft. aluminum boat that works much more functionally and I like a lot. I was given the privalage of taking this new beauty for it's maden voyage. I managed to bring Andrew along where he recieved the 'privilage' of getting to know my father. He survived unscathed and enlightened. We returned with a fish and I was happy :D.Andrew recieved his revenge through his cousins wedding for it was my turn to meet his family. They turned out to be very similar to mine though much less disfunctional as a couple. The wedding was beautiful, as most are, and much fun was had by all. I also managed to take some pretty good pictures through the day. I also managed to think way to much about weddings in general which was a tad of a scarey thing but I survived.
I also went on a hiatus to visit random relatives, many of whom I hadn't seen in a very long time. My 99 year old grandmother was the highlight of course. It's an incredable thing that is still so physically and mentally intact at her age. It must be the english in her. I was also privilaged enough to take a tour of the house that many of my close relatives lived in for several years. The current owner of the house is still the friend up the street that my grandfather sold it to over 15 years ago. The only memory I have of it is playing in one of the rooms while people around me rushed about, packing everything in boxes and moving them out of the house. It was a wonderful day. We spent a lot of time in various gardens. Apparenlty it's an 'in' thing in Victoria. And last but not least. My backyard was on fire. Wee. I only had to pack once, just in case, for my mother's sanity. It was an interesting experience. I think I need to find more days to climb on my roof and just hang out. It's really nice up there. I plan to venture up there one day when the stars are out. I can probably seem more of them from up there.
This catches you up to the end of the summer. Schools begun again and life is much less crazy. With the excuse to cut work hours due to school I can regain my life and sanity. Speaking of such, this procrastonation has gone on long enough. It's time to get another play read. One more play to go and I'll have read all of them. Just a matter of time. Then essays start... the cycle begins.
