Weirdest Dream Ever

So I went to bed about an hour and a half ago... and before I knew it...

It was Saturday Afternoon, and we were playing Garou. The game had just gotten started. To my great strangeness, I noticed a ton of people were back or now playing in the game:

-Simon had returned, dressed in a brown denim jacket, with worn black jeans. His character was this rough-and-tumble Cliath Silver Fang Ahroun, badass beyond his years, who apparently I only knew about OOC, and had to pretend I had never seen. He looked kind of like Neil Gaiman, but cooler.
-There were a bunch of cubs, played by people I had never seen. Simon's character had brought them. Even though I was the Den Father, they were really coy and dismissive of me. They just sat up near the top of the big dirt path plateau and looked down at me like I was dumb.

Both Matts, Bevan, Angus, Jason, Patti, and other historical faces had appeared too... even Rick and Marcella. They were totally in to it, and I was marvelling at the complete immersion of it all. The site was the amazing part of the park I had never seen, in full lush autumn gold. I was so excited I couldn't stop giddily running around like a small child.

Then some people arrived, namely my mother, and had some sort of weird anxious task that she had to do, with Jenn Forrest or some other such person who I never quite identified. So we went off (me leaving the game) to this weird official building of some sort on the other side of the water from downtown (so, UBC/Kits area or something). The building was very parliament like, hardwood and stone, and we sat in this very large, open waiting area, watching politicians and pundits walk by, trying to push Republican and Democrat values on us. I was tired and not feeling well, so I had a nap.

A long period of time passed, and when we walked out, the person we were with (Jenn or someone) had finally found out where it was she was born, and her entire past. Apparently that's what had been missing. She had gone to school at a Czech-Italian/Indian boarding school...and everything made sense now. We walked back to the car, and outside the weather was the most beautiful light foggy sprinkle of snow late afternoon I can possibly imagine having ever seen. We walked down frosty-leaf covered sidewalks to the car...

As we got to the car, I commented on how weird I was feeling, kind of like when I had done K and gotten really disassociated. I looked at my cell phone and realized it was 5:38..47..43? I totally freaked out in a really childish way, simultaneously upset and enraged that I'd missed Garou. I started yelling about how I was bored out of my skull, and I'd really wanted to be there cuz my mom needed me, but now I'd have to wait another entire month...and the game had seemed so amazing too! I maintained that I had to do something RIGHT NOW, or I'd go completely crazy.

The car stopped, and I stumbled out, in a sort of Neo-just-released-from-the-matrix-panic. I was disoriented, and at the edge of another really nice Autumn forest (very Mount Seymour Demonstration Forest-y). As my mom walked along with me, I called Daniel's cell to see if people were still playing (after all, we weren't far away), and Colin answered the phone. I asked him where he was, and he replied "This isn't a good time. I'm in Richmond...at Stevies." I asked him why, and he told me that Steve had unknowingly done some really bad Acid or something, and was having a bizarre and uncontrollable trip. I asked where Chris was, he said probably on his way to there.

At this point, I started to realize that my behaviour was completely irrational. My physical perceptions were skewed, and reality wasn't normal. I started to get weird visual effects (film grain, choppiness), hallucinations within my dream. I was like, holy crap, someone slipped me drugs. My mom called some ambulance place and I was asking the guy on the other end if there had been any reports of weird contaminated water, food or something. It struck me weird that I was having the same experience as Stevie, who I hadn't seen in weeks, but well, y'never know. This ATV buzzed past me on the path.

I fell down on the path again, and continued trying to have a conversation with the paramedic despite not being able to see. Then, as my vision returned, I had to get out of the way because some guy was VACUUMING next to me... in the forest! I was like, WTF?!?!?!

Then I woke up.

Totally vivid, and some genuine panic/euphoria moments. As the dream fades now, I can still totally remember what the parking lot looked like, and the beautiful site, the smell of the air, the weather. I can't remember having a dream where I was so bought in to the reality of it all. I had absolutely no idea I was dreaming until I woke up. I nearly always do.

Man, I wish I could paint so I could do those two scenes (The Frosty Autumn Park/Parking Lot, and the Golden Autumn Game Site). I'm still in awe of how amazing they were.

Total Length of Dream: ~12:00/05am-1:36am (91-96 minutes)

Note To Self: Tim is already giddy for Garou, Simon should wear more denim (and play a Bad-Ass Silver Fang with a heart of gold), and I should NEVER eat a bunch of cheese right before going to sleep listening to Neil Gaiman read "Coraline."

Damn, now I'm not going to be able to sleep again for a few hours. I'm all weird, and my stomach is burbly.

Holy fuck that dream kicks serious ass.

I had a really simple dream that made me really happy when I woke up last night: There was this little vendor selling Fair Trade Coffee for a penny a glass. I just watched him serve people, one after another, smiling to each, taking a penny for each cup of coffee. (It's kinda nice because I've been having a lot of nightmares lately)

That's crazy. What is it with crazy dreams in the past few days??
