The Last 2 Weeks

Rewind...

March 23rd to March 28th, I was in Washington state at the 20th annual Spring Mysteries Festival that I've come to love (and to dedicate a better part of my early year to). The festival itself was totally exhausting, and I spent woefully little time with my non-cast/staff Canadian friends and family, but for experiences, it ranks up there. As one of my favourite fellow cast-members said to me, "I can't call this 'fun' because for the most part, it's not. I'd call it 'Intensely fullfilling.'" Quite a bit like Garou for immersive intensity factor, but with a large dose of spirituality. And a lot of hard work paying off very personally, and very well.

The biggest downside was that on Sunday, after the festival wrapped up and I was relaxing in the cabins, I felt like I'd been at a rave, active, for 36 hours. If there has been a time in my life where I was that exhausted before, I don't remember it.

The better part of this last week was spent recovering from the festival, getting my head back on straight, and trying to keep myself able to finish off the school semester well. I've applied for the Douglas Stagecraft program, and should be able to finish my Associate Degree by the time I'm finished it. Actually having some academic end-plan: That feels good.
