Music & Religion

EARTH: House
Solid and pumping, house is definitely the most solid genre, favouring repetitive mid/low synth lines and vocal hooks over complicated instrumentation. It moves from deep and grinding to hard and sharp, but never wavers from the 4/4 beat.
Exemplary Artists: Donald Glaude, Bad Boy Bill, Josh tha Funkee 1, Lady Dana

AIR: Trance
The most delicate and intricate of the genres, Trance uses complicated arpeggios and long-building synth lines to great effect. It is methodical and often light, though it can be given to bursts of sudden energy and frightening ferocity.
Exemplary Artists: Blank & Jones, Armin Van Burren, Infected Mushroom, Astral Projection

FIRE: Breakbeats
Ever-changing, always bouncing, Breaks make for the perfect fire music. They roll, bump, and grind, forcing people to find new ways of dancing. Also, they can really make people want to have sex.
Exemplary Artists: DJ Icey, Stanton Warriors, Lorin Bassnectar, Fort Knox Five, Sir Kutz, Dig Dug

WATER: Drum 'n Bass
Drum 'n Bass runs the gamut from the sound of warm, sunny beaches to the worst raging oceans. It is fast and hard, or slow and funky. Wherever it goes, it carries a wave of solid emotion, as mercurial, varied, and naturally moving as it gets.
Exemplary Artists: LTJ Bukem, Dieselboy, John B, Pendulum, Concord Dawn
